Please note that in so far as any organisation exists, it is non-sectarian and non-hierarchical.   The intention is that we learn together.

A PERSONAL STATEMENT~

On several occasions I have taught at schools of a special nature in India, but mostly I have home educated my two children (together with their mother) for over ten years in New Zealand and Australia. Although serious, worth-while schools do exist, they are the exceptions and not everyone has access to them. It was suggested to us in India that we could encourage parents who are seriously dissatisfied with their children's schooling to consider the option of home educating. Thus I have circulated an article, initiated this web site, and started a mailing list so that those interested and concerned in this matter can communicate with each other.

 

In the course of setting up the above I realised I might be providing an "answer" (in the form of home educating) and it was more appropriate to help people find their own answers. Thus I have broadened the scope of the site to encompass what might be loosely termed "alternative education"

I emphasise there is no authority implied in what I am attempting. I welcome suggestions and the participation of others.
